Armageddon For A Night Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Armageddon For A Night

If only for one night,
Be God.
And I'll dance and rejoice your name.
Caress the feathered wings as Armageddon is put on hold.
Watching the fire slowly ignite behind your eyes.
The crackling sound of winged hearts set ablaze
Beneath the shelter of your arms
Preventing the coming of any storm that weathers
any emotion other than the welcoming of your smile.
As faith can move mountains.
Watching the light glimmer with your every step.
If only for a second
Be everything I could possibly need
Everything I believe in
