Artist Always Poem by Paula Glynn

Artist Always

I started drawing and painting
From a young age
Using wax Crayola crayons
Using coloured pencils
Using watercolours
Using acrylic paints
Using oil pastels.

I started writing teenage songs
While playing tunes on the classic guitar
Creating impressive music compositions
Recording myself on a basic 1990's
Cassette tape that did showcase my voice
Writing immature but honest lyrics
But creative with music nevertheless.

I started writing poetry regularly
From my early and inexperienced 20's
Writing anything and everything
From religion to society
From love to faith and perfect passion
From bitter betrayal to funky fashion
From non-biased biographies to factual poetry.

Artistry and creativity important to me
Especially as I like my own company
And I like to be bohemian and truly free
My art my soul deep destiny
That means I honestly write for me
I write about what I know and see
The world of art meaning everything to me.
