'' As Heaven Has A Certain Attraction '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' As Heaven Has A Certain Attraction ''

If there is a creator,
Or perhaps a dictator,
I've got to ask, where are you now,
This current pandemic,
Has become systemic,
It's destroying your creations, and how.

There's currently a war,
Which you claim to abhor,
Thousands of innocents are dying,
You seem to be willing,
To watch all the killing,
Your compassion I'm simply not buying.

Are you really that mean,
That you won't intervene,
Perhaps you enjoy seeing us cower,
You demand we don't kill,
But you do so at will,
Could it be, you revel in power.

Some call you a God,
I'd rather say, fraud,
When in trouble, you never appear,
The creator of all life?
Just loves causing strife,
I ask you, have you ever been here?

You don't bring relief,
You love causing grief,
Yet that's not what you'd have us believe,
The one whose all seeing,
Is a compassionate being,
Oh, the lies human beings conceive.

Religions worth billions,
Taken from civilians,
Who in essence, struggle to eat,
I'll strip your conscience bare,
It's a fact you don't care,
If you did, there would be no elite.

We're so easily fooled,
By charlatans we're ruled,
We starve, while they live in leisure,
Their being supreme,
Is but a fantasy, a dream,
Their deceit, isn't so hard to measure.

I've reached the conclusion,
You are but an illusion,
Created by a gold-digging faction,
They'll forever deny,
You are their big lie,
