L-osing its dark shadows
I-s the long and black night;
L-eaving the cold raindrop,
I-t lets the light shine so bright.
A-fter the dusk disappears, the twilight does the same;
N-ew dawn shouts for joy, calling out your name.
E-ventide fades into gray,
C-hill the sun did parch;
L-onely twilight is over,
E-arly sixth morn in March.
V-isible things disappear,
I-mages are only short-term;
A-ll here in the world are impermanent or infirm.
D-o fix both your eyes on the hidden gift of life;
E-xpress a stronger faith to battle all sorts of strife.
V-isualize the Holy City,
E-ternal peace is truly there;
R-oads are paved with gold,
A-s joy will last forever.
