As You Only Live Once Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

As You Only Live Once

Rating: 5.0

A-s you only live once,
N-ot twice beneath the blue;
A-llow the light to take away
D-eep darkness from
Y-ou.

B-oy and girl live only once,
E-ven the young and old;
R-egardless of life's status,
M-an goes to tomb so cold.
U-se the little chance
N-ever waste opportunity;
D-ay six of warm July
O-pen your soul to the Almighty.

B-reath you take won't last,
E-nd of it will surely come;
R-eminding you of the dust,
C-lay and mound in God's palm.
I-n this world you travel,
L-ife's journey isn't great in distance;
L-et it be worthy before God,
A-s you only live once.
