Ashes Lies There Wagging Her Tail Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Ashes Lies There Wagging Her Tail

Rating: 3.5

Ashes lies there wagging her tail.
With two curled and stretched legs, she looks at the sky.
Only half-opened, her eyes look like dreaming.
Are you remembering your past, Ashes?
Do you remember the day you had the sky as your roof
You slept in the bush
Or, by the foot of a tree in the woods?
Now you are served with drinks and foods.
You also have Noel as friend to play with, dawn to dust
It feels like short time, but few years have passed.
You are well taken care of, in exchange of your freedom.
Ashes lies there watching the sky.
The breezes come in through a screen door,
She inhales many deep breaths of fresh air.

ASHES NẰM ĐÓ VẪY ĐUÔI - Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Ashes nằm đó vẫy đuôi
Chân co chân duỗi, ngắm trời bâng quơ.
Lim dim cập mắt như mơ,
Ashes nằm đó, nhớ thời xa xưa?
Ngày nào không chiếu, không chăn
Ngủ bờ ngủ bụi, gốc nào rừng cây.
Bây giờ nước rót, cơm mâm
Noel bạn đó mỗi ngày dỡn chơi.
Thoáng qua, đã mấy năm rồi
Cơm ăn áo mặc, đổi đời tự do.
Ashes nằm đó, nhìn trời
Gió lùa cửa lưới, khí trời hít vô.
