Who among them wear brand new suits? ask them

They take loans against our properties
Where does the money go? ask them

They take pride in their new suits
Why am I in rags? ask them

They could travel by bicycle only. now they have millions
Where does their money come from? ask them

When we gave the chair to our 'Baba'
Why did they then shun us all? ask them

ਕਿਹੜੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਘਟਾਇਆ, ਪੁੱਛੋ ਵੀ
ਕਿਹੜਾ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਇਆ, ਪੁੱਛੋ ਵੀ

ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੀ ਨੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਵਿਚ ਅਸੰਬਲੀ ਦੇ
ਕੋਰਾ ਲੱਠਾ ਜਿਹਨੇ ਪਾਇਆ, ਪੁੱਛੋ ਵੀ

ਜਿਹਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਬਹਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ
ਸਾਡੇ ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ, ਪੁੱਛੋ ਵੀ

ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਨੇ
ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਉਹ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ, ਪੁੱਛੋ ਵੀ

ਅਪਣੇ ਸੂਟਾਂ ਵੱਲੇ ਵੇਖੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਓ
