At Bay Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

At Bay

Rating: 4.8

I stood at the bay
Had no words to say
What a strange way
No attention to pay

She was there on other side
In between areas so wide
Intense urge couldn’t hide
No clue as how to confide?

Tried to shout but had no speech
Distance forbade me to reach
Made me so feeble and weak
Could not find words to speak

May be she has same feeling?
Under constant fear always reeling
Failed to reach peak after scaling
Problem in breathing and inhaling

I have thing or reason to regret
Can still hold for a while or wait
I shouldn’t find any more excuses
Should feel at ease without any issues

I should over come the hurdle
I can’t afford to stay in middle
I must put it straight and right
No hitch but without offering fight

I shall stand to loose the game
No use if responded lately or came
I must explore what should or can be best
All cards to confide and near to the chest

I may hear if you slightly whisper
Read lips movement even if you murmur
May not be that unique feat or achievement
To feel really elated for glorious moment

I may find it worth to explore
Try to confine by not asking more
May be on one day I may succeed
To find big tree emerging from seed

like the firefly of the night twinkle...amidst the darkest sky....' at bay ', seems the hover is coming to land. in the heart that crumple the pain of emptiness.... quite a healthful tablet of comfort....every mind refresh the meaning of hope and a goodbye...God bless...my friend...a 10 +++++
