Atlantis Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Atlantis

Rating: 5.0

Atlantis is de titel voor het vertaald gedicht Micronesië

tiny nation
in the middle of the Great Ocean,

so many mini islands up there like Pohnpei
so very very tiny

the people are peaceful
they raise pigs and grow root trees
the sea is calm and so is the breeze

It is peaceful and quiet,
but that was not always sobriety

Under their feet lie the remains of a great citadel
Well, well, well

rooted remains
of a forgotten unknown folk

it was about 1000 B.C.
too far from our history,
as time elapsed
in pre-history perhaps?

indeed the time has elapsed

do you remember Plato
he wrote about this
the mysterious Atlantis

anno 2022 I can tell you, dear poet friends,
these are the greatest moments

Atlantis does exist
and all there is

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Latest Archelogy shows taht Atlantis really exists, with another name, of course, but it is a tiny island and 600 altogether. The inhabitants all died like all the tiny islands by great nature disaster, so far my review, thank you so much for reading and yoiur feedback, best regards, Sylvia Frances Chan
