Attraction Poem by Christina Simmons

Attraction

Rating: 5.0

How can something so wrong
Feel so right?
Longing for your touch

Craving for your love
The desire to be with you
Each waking day

Seeing your smile touching your skin
Making love to you all night/day long
Is only what I pine for?

When you look at me I melt - touched by your
magical fingers makes me all gooey inside
Wishing to sink deep within those eyes... only seeing
traces of myself

Watching your lips reaching for a kiss,
ever so gently
How can something be so right
And yet be so wrong? BOY, really don't get it

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this to help me get over the breakup from a childhood sweetheart. HE was the love of my life - without him I simply felt I WANTED TO DIE. Didn't want to exist without him around. But still there was a part of me hoping, knowing I could find love again.
