Autumn Prayers Of Nine Nights Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Autumn Prayers Of Nine Nights

Rating: 5.0

Oh great, great, great Mother Nature,
On the first day of lunisolar fortnight
We people of this universe
Offer our prayer of first day in Autumn,
On the day of Pratipada,
Being the consort of our Supreme Power,
You are worshiped as the daughter of mountain,
With action of vigor of red colour,
You protect all natural resources,
That is why we chant your name,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Shailaputri.'

In this Autumn silver grass blooms
And we perform austerity and oblation,
On the second day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Dwitiya,
In tranquility we feel powerful energy
With blue cloured vibrations,
We worship you oh Feminine Celibacy,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Brahmacharini.'

On the third day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Tritiya,
We feel your motherly beauty
As you are embodiment of motherhood
And you are very brave in all aspects,
You wear the crescent moon in forehead,
You behold the yellow colour,
Which is colour of purity and prosperity,
Good mood is generated within us
We hear the sound of gongs in universe,
We worship you oh generator of natural gong,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Chandraghanta.'

On the fourth day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Chaturthi,
We offer prayer oh dear creative power
And the power of nourishment,
You create vegetation on Earth
With green colour everywhere,
Through your eight arms you create
All the creatures inside forest,
From lion and tiger to ants and microbes,
You create the holy Halfa Grass,
Silver grass, Bermuda Grass and many,
You create and protect green forests and crops,
We worship you oh embodiment of vegetation,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Kushamanda.'

On the fifth day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Panchami,
The grey colour transforms the power of mother,
You never like to see your children in danger,
When your any child faces danger,
Suddenly you redeem by your power of motherhood,
Oh dear mother, the rider of ferocious lion,
In your four arms you behold and nourish child,
On your shoulder your devotee child is safe,
We worship you oh transforming power,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Skandamata.'

On the great sixth day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Mahasashthi,
We feel your courage with orange colour,
You provide unlimited power to the warriors,
Through your courage you destroy violence,
Riding the lion with your four hands
You give greatest wealth being goddess Maha Laxmi,
Oh dear incarnated daughter of sage Katyayana,
Oh Goddess Devi, destroyer of Devil,
Oh dear Goddess of warriors,
We worship you in form of courageous energy,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Katyayani.'

On the great seventh day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Mahasaptami,
Appearing in white colour for establishing peace,
In silence you express rage in eyes
To destroy all demonic forces who cause harm
To all your devotees and creatures in Earth,
Becoming very black in the dark
You spark with white light and give assurance
To protect all from dangers and harm,
You are Nature Goddess of cycle of day and night,
Through dark matters you control time
In this universe and other universes,
We worship you in the form of deep dark energy,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Kaalaratri.'

On the great eighth day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Maha-Astami,
We feel your optimism with pink coloured waves,
Intelligence and peace you give through your power,
By your grace we gain victory, joy and peace,
We worship you oh dear giver of victory,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Mahagouri.'

On the great ninth day of lunisolar fortnight,
On the day of Mahanavami,
This Earth looks so blue in colour in space,
Nature's calm and greatest beauty is adored,
Sitting on lotus you appear in calm mood,
To give all successes in hands of devotees,
You possess and give all types of successes,
Mother you bestow love, success and peace
We worship you oh dear giver of accomplishment,
Oh Goddess Mother, your name is, 'Siddhidatri.'

Taking birth in the great dynasty,
Where wisdom, love, peace and power dwell,
Where integrity, unity, values, ethics
And universal brotherhood and devotion reside,
We feel so fortunate,
In this dynasty you are the golden Super Goddess,
You are Ista-Devi of Great Family,
Oh goddess mother in all names and forms
You are Golden Goddess, the redeemer,
Your single name becomes Kanaka Durga,
Who guards many forts of kings and warriors,
Becoming the child of this great Nature Mother,
Your son jewel, son of victorious and pious land,
Along with all people of this
Great Aryavart, great Bharata, Great India,
Where holy (Sindhu) Indus River and Ganga River
Brhmaputra River, Godavari River, Krishna River,
Narmada River, Tapti River, Kaveri River
And Mahanadi River and Brahmani River
And many, many rivers flow by your care and grace,
Holding a palm of water from all rivers,
And lighting the lamps of brighter hope
He concludes prayers of nine autumn nights!
We all offer prayers of NAVARATRI,
The great Nine Nights of Autumn of Month Ashvina,
Namaste oh dear Goddess Nature Mother,
We pray saying Namaste, Namaste and Namaste!

We greet you all across the globe,
Namaste oh dear brothers and sisters of
Our lovable and peaceful one World Family,
We are wishing you very Happy NAVARATRI!

Very nice poem. Your narrative technique is praiseworthy. I have enjoyed the poem very much. I went to Bhubaneswar in 2017 to receive 'Rock Pebbles International Literary Award 2017'. Dr Udayanath Majhi is my bosom friend. Bharati Nayak is very close with me too. I met her that day there. I have many friends in Odisha. I feel happy to meet you here.
