Away From Here Poem by Silent Speaker

Away From Here

Rating: 2.2

There is nothing good
about this place
nothing good
about this chase

Its cold and dark
joy has ceased
no happiness here
cruelty an untamed beast

Why anyone would want to be here
I don't know
forced is how I came
to this place so low

Its amazing how it seems unreal
this quiet and strange place
Its so desprate and sad
there is no happy face

I only see the mask
that people put on
hiding there gray, dull, facade
until its finally past dawn

Only then does their true self show
Only then do their tears come out
Only then do they scream for help
Only then do themselves they show they doubt

But funny because the longer I stay
The more like them I become
The more weary and shattered I am
The more my feelings go numb

I want to escape
I need to get away from here
To forget everything about this place
But what I've learned I'll hold dear

This is my favorite poem of yours so far- Your rhyme scheme is great and I sympathize with the message completely.
