Aye, Carona! Poem by Practicing Poetess

Aye, Carona!

It's a deadly virus, yes
Don't need to guess
You don't want to catch it; No!
Aye, Carona!
Puts you into quarantine
It's just so mean
Family and friends unseen
Aye, Carona!
Pandemonium breaks loose
It's like Black Friday
Toilet tissue shortage news
Aye, Carona!

Aye aye aye yi yi woo!

People dropping dead like flies
You realise
Someone that you know just dies
Aye, Carona!
Playing Spider Solitaire
Staying home alone
Virus travels in the air
Aye, Carona!
Men can't visit barbershops
No pedicures for girls
Malls are closed, events are stopped
Aye, Carona!

Buh-buh- buh 'Bye, Carona!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Very, very loosely taken from an old song, My Sharona, by The Knack.

SLOW
STOP
HALT
the spread.
Stay home instead (and write lots of poetry!)

I like this. We're all waiting for the crazy days to be over. Very nice.
