Soul Tie Poem by Practicing Poetess

Soul Tie

Rating: 5.0

My eyes are blue,
And his are brown.
His hands are tan,
While mine are pink.
He's oh-so-strong,
I'm somewhat frail.
A funny guy,
He's also shy.
While I'm the more outgoing one.
We think of each other
Simultaneously,
And then he phones me.
We feel the same things.
It seems we're connected
By an invisible thread.
Must be a soul-tie.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Can a woman with an American father and a European mother, who took French in secondary school, find happiness with a Hispanic man? Lucky for me, I make a mean pot of chili!
Our first date, we watched Disney Pixar's film 'Coco', followed by supper at Taco Bell!
This poem is inspired by my real-life squeeze. Thank you for finding your way into my poems, and bringing my total to 100 poems posted, to- date!

I am sure that you do have a soul-tie with this man. Striking contrast of your physical features and qualities, followed by the ways you are linked together. Fine writing.

Thank you, Michael. I'm very grateful for your insight. As time goes on and I get to know him even better, the contrasts continue to increase, and are quite amazing. But like they say, opposites attract! I hope & pray I can live up to your compliment of 'fine writing'!

Beautiful love poem nicely penned from the heart. In-between the lines, I see an instinctive liking - a mutual affinity. Thanks for sharing Poetess
