'Babies Are Resilient' Poem by Linda Winchell

'Babies Are Resilient'

Rating: 5.0

God gave our precious children
the resilience and the strength.
To accept an adults sinfilled nature
not that dealt, in happenstance of fate.

They bounce back like little rubber balls
when tossed and tumble bound.
Their skinned knees heal quickly
their sweet laughter replaced by
that smile turned upside down.

Pinched fingers in a stroller
screams of pain filling lungs despair.
But with the love and consolation of parent
the child knows that they are cared.

Let's take hats off to these little worriors
they are God's gift to all mankind.

Go and revel in the strenght of your gifts given
for I have, two gifts of mine.
