Baby Blue Eyes Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Baby Blue Eyes

Rating: 4.9

Baby blue eyes
Crying
Softly
Whispering
Rain now falling
Mesmerizing
Baby blue eyes
Laughing
Joyful
Crying
Secretly
Lies stopping
Baby blue eyes
Loving
Wishful
Thinking
Now progressing
Hypnotizing
Baby blue eyes
Lost in wonder
At the thunder
All the cursing
And forgiving
Love's uprising

Baby blue eyes
Screw the damn lies
Heavenly skies
Hear these cries

There is a twinge of sadness here. The blue eyes- that may mean the colour blue. Or blue may be the metaphor for sadness. Sadness in the eyes of the innocent....A great poem, Richard.

Right on both accounts, M.J. What's interesting is that you cued in on the eyes of the innocent...the victim. He too has blue eyes.

Eyes that speak Not always, the most discrete. The flowing words and images are very nicely done. The painful end, surprising but won.

Sandra, the ending was painful to write, but cathartic. Thanks for the creativity of your feedback. Always greatly appreciated!
