Today, tomorrow, same talk
Why would it matter one bit?
If I died today …
Why would it matter?
If tomorrow never comes for me?
Why would it matter?
And if I’m without death?
Would I still inherit the land?
Welcome to his world
And welcome this abstract conundrum of immutable forces
Bearing down heavily on deeply rooted teachings
Subjugated by fine lines of obscurity and thought
Bottled in the subconscious of an awakening mind
Hence his tale:
“He was blind for 5 minutes, perhaps dead
And in that time, he wrote everything that he saw
And as he awoke, the depth of his confusion propelled him to new heights
And new reasoning
A man thus asked of him, “Which would you rather not have? ”
“Your eyes or your ears? ”
But he was deaf, and so all talk fell on deaf ears
Quickly he dismissed his vision as slow
Quickly he dismissed the seduction to false reign of his conscience
Asked of him his conscience of what he’d seen
Quickly he, replied “God”
“How dare you use the name of the Lord in vain? ”
“You child of lesser god, I rebuke you” spoke this man
In the boys heart is heaven
In the man’s eye the depths of canyons
The fiery sight of hell
Of trees shedding in the spring
Of icicles forming on roofs
Reaching deep in his psyche to raise his dead spirit
Rustling and turning like a leave in the wind
He continued to fight to stay alive rather than submit to sleep
He awoke to reality as indeed in a trance
In five minutes death was knocking, but here he was Life affirmed”
