Bag Lady Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Bag Lady

A woman standing on the corner, all ragged, dirty and alone.
Scuffing her toes in the dirt, hoping to find something of worth.
She is a person. She has childhood memories and family.
This woman has stories to tell, so why has she been left all alone on a street corner?

Hello RoseAnn, A short and very heartfelt poem. I often wonder why some people are homeless. My belief is that sometimes it is a choice that people make. Thanks. You are invited to read some of my works and comment if you like.
