As sun floats away to his abode
Towards dark-clad even, tulips he throws
That he gathers from horizon’s platter
Twilight adorns it with ornaments all gold
And Nature strips off all that were silver
Night’s Laila descends in the saddle of silence
Stars shine as pearls sweet on Night’s bride
They dwell far from world’s commotion
Are called Stars in man’s vernacular
Celestial assembly was illuminating firmament
An angel’s call came from ‘Arsh e Barin’
O sentinels of the Night, O stars of the sky!
Inhibits the dome the whole kindled nation of yours
Play on a tune that awakens all in slumber
Your illumine brow is caravans’ usher
They deem you as destiny’s mirrors
These denizens of earth may harken your cries
Silence departed from the expanse of sky
And the heavenly vault was filled with the tune
The eternal beauty is born out of stars’ allure
As in the mirror of dew the image of rose glimmers
