Be Brave - The Devastation By Coronavirus Will Subside

Rating: 5.0

What could life do
but stand still and watch
as many got infected
and many succumbed to death
without an opportunity or remedy
for treatment or cure.

Don't die today, die another day
- a voice kept saying
it was from one mortal to another;
there was nothing not to fear
as fear itself was fire-lighting,
igniting the antecedent to death.

Everyone was told it was approaching,
the race called humanity kept rushing
indoors to be in safety;
but the virus was getting so rampant
spreading from country to country
and from to city to city.

Someone was testing positive
someone was dying and going;
parents kept telling children
don't get infected today, be careful
you have the whole life ahead
to see and enjoy, to experience and rejoice,
to walk over the bridges
of happiness, love and delight.

But nations kept insisting,
they told their citizens-
don't ignore the warning signs.
And as friends kept coughing,
getting fever, others felt worried;
if someone died in a far away city
everyone feared for his or her own safety.

Was God so merciless to choose
those who have to survive
from those who have to die
or was it not your own destiny
which had engraved the day
of your birth and departure?
Even the phenomena of death
is pre-set, pre-written,
and whether it is sudden or slow
whether painful or calm,
none can tell you-
don't die today, die another day.

As the day for your demise
will be on that appointed date
and death will come gallantly,
silently it will knock at your door,
whether you are asleep or awake,
whether you are dressed or unwilling,
it will clasp your hand of desistance
and pull you and lead you to walk up
that staircase towards eternity:
where the aura of fear never exists
where no virus tells you to run indoors
where no voice tells you-
don't die today, die another day
for the end of life is also a grace
as long as you have not died of any crime!
