Born genius
He were to be
To his parents-
Blessed with
Powers to prove
Setting an example
To the world around him-
Eighteen years before
The birth of nineteen hundred
The year he was born-
Penning thoughts
All above scalable levels
Making him the sole ruler
In his piquant writing
In novels so many
As well as poetry
So much to be inspired
And adored
By every reader-
A poet spotted by
Beard and turban
Seldom not seen
Without this identity-
Throughout his living
Many poems
Challenging enough to be counted
Everyone a compliment
Of each other-
Teaching and preaching
Courage and passion
Will and determination
Skill and ability-
A trend-setter
In his helm-
Though no more
Several years before
From this day-
Finding peace in eternity
In the year nineteen twenty one-
Forty years
Is so little a period
For all his achievements
And contribution to the society-
Subramania Bharati
So proudly called as Bharathiyar-
This day-December Eleven Twenty Eighteen
A memorable day to recall and remember
For all the efforts he dedicated
To the growth of his mother tongue-
Ever raising his voice
For the empowerment of the language
The ancient Tamil-
Long live
The Bearded Poet-
