Before I Am Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Before I Am

Rating: 5.0

I wish to be free man
Nice person and human
Not bound by any bondage
With prayer’s strength written on holy pag4

I never question
Or mention
About golden teachings
It is beyond my reaching

I only bow down
To get protection
From unknown ills
With good faith still

I want peaceful journey
With blessings from an almighty
I have no other desire
But peacefully to retire

I shall create no disharmony
As liked by many
What I want to try and establish
No more wishful thinking before I am perished

What on earth we are doing?
Not properly praying
But laying stone
For by gone

Before I Am

Man is born free; but everywhere he is in chains, Rousseau says. It is a social construct. Let’s hope and act to be free at least in thought. Good poem. P Nasarudheen., Kasargod.Kerala Apr 13,2015

Wonderful poetic efforts to visualize the hidden human desire prevailing within. The world has turned robotic today and we are always missing ourselves. Thanks a lot for your exact human portrayal. Rabindra Kumar Bharti, Bokaro Steel City Apr 13,2015
