Behind Hidden Eyes Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Behind Hidden Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Praying to the sky, Longing to runaway
To the perfect getaway.
Seen behind your eyes
Do you notice,
The urgency behind mine.
Eyes that cry for better days,
Running away to better days
Your hand in mine
Profound.
The allure of lashes that hide true
Desire,
The allure of thoughts that symbolize
The friendship of reality.
Mesmerizing the thought of escape
Without seams to hinder the smallest thread,
A random thought that presents itself
As real.
One day I'll get to kiss you beneath
Strawberry skies
On top of infinite grains of sand
A dream without time to hinder
The press of our lips.
The reaction of how we should feel flourishes.
Unselfish.
Running away
Making love under the light of stars that shine off your eyes
