Behind The Scenes (Revised) Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Behind The Scenes (Revised)

The beautiful images that followed
Piece by piece.
illusions that made us feel we were moving when we weren't.
A fictitious montage
Filmed in black and white.
An eclipse of shadows receding against the concrete
reality of the smaller things we took for granted.
The splash of color made by our smiles.
Mass marketed as comedy.
in-between the lines of rehearsal
why weren't they shown
The looks that spoke volume.
A reflection of things done in retrospect.
The hind sight of what we could have done better.
Loaded with extras not seen in theaters.
Comedic in the sense that I loved you there, in improv.
Without dictation of a script
