Being Next To You Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Being Next To You

Rating: 5.0

Through yr eyes, the sunshine comes
How you brighten my day
When you want my attention
Yr sad, foggy eyes look at me
Telling me to pick up; I need yr touch
The way you crawl next time to keep warm
Touches my heart in ways, you couldn't imagine
Yr warmth only makes me realise
That we have one life
And not to waste it
As everyone and everything dies
I wish you could live forever
Right now, I'm in heaven
Being next to you

Beautiful, five star poem, LeeAnn! In my humble opinion, this is one of the best you have ever written. Your dog is lucky to have you.
