Better With Age Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Better With Age

Before wasting precious time,
Trying to find something...
Wrong someone else has done.
Look first within yourself.

Before accusing others for what they do.
To believe it is your business too.
Ask yourself.
What is it that you have contributed?
Other than lies.
You spread to seek approved.

Most people who mind their own business,
Are not often the ones...
Seeking attention from others to get.
Doing this to undermine another.
And if this is you to choose to do,
Your mind is too occupied...
In a 'me-me-I-I' limited point of view.

Before wasting precious time,
Trying to find something...
Wrong someone else has done.
And if you happen to be,
Years beyond the age of 21?
Stop.
Ask yourself this question,
With truth and honesty involved.
"Why can I find time to waste...
Up in someone else's face.
Examining their looks and what they do.
When I am the one with the problem.
A problem I need help to get removed."

Do this!
And everything done you do,
You will find this much improved.
To eventually discover,
Being grown has more to do with attitude.
And not childishness.
To believe this gets better with age!
