I’m a train track
With a knack
for coffee.
A one-way ocean liner
Powered by steam
And defiant of the currents
Around me…
I used to love the art scene
And often,
incongruent things:
like some sort of cataract,
ally-wack,
visine,
drip-drop,
eye clean
hobby.
I am a ying-yang
Thought stream
Powered by
feng shui
energy beams
A naturalized naturalist,
Pessimistic
Pacifist
It’s safe to say
That I’m not very
Sunny.

A great run of images that flow seamlessly into one another - the sponteneity of thought echoes loud and clear - a revealing and emotionally charged write. j.
Oh my God! ! ! I love this poem! It is shockingly pungent and bitter sweet. At a moment I felt a George Carlin tone, but you 'wacked' your own unique verbato in the last few lines. Wonderous, truly!
Loved this David, a wonderful play on words, I am interested in the Big Bang theory myself lol,10 for this, Lynda xx
an engaging write about being disengaged.Imagintive use or words a touch satyrical tinged with underlying sadness
Absolutely agree with Janice. It's almost of parody of performance poetry, but when it actually does end with a bang it actually left it on a serious note for me. The jaunty rhyme scheme helped add the chaos element. It's a home run in my book! Delilah
This had me laughing out loud on the word 'Sunny'! Then I fried reading it aloud. It's a fantastic poem to chant. I love this. I shall come back to it and chant it again - it's given me an appetite for chanting it!
Interesting poem that gives the reader a smile...and it is just a good piece of poetry. Great imagery......Keep sharing. Shelley
