Bind Weed Poem by Glen Kappy

Bind Weed

Rating: 5.0

I have scorned you, Bind Weed
having labored in yards
to utterly remove you.

But then in my walk this early morning
I saw first a hummingbird then a bee
at your trumpet-shaped flowers.

And you, Deadly Nightshade—the same—
till a little further on I saw a bumble bee
exploring your purple and yellow blossoms.

Thanks, LeeAnn. I guess you as well have had your struggles with it or other unwanted volunteers. -Glen

Bind week does have a pretty little flower, but I scorn them also.

Yeah, when it interferes with your landscaping/gardening desires, it's a pain. But whatever will help the birds and bees, right? Appreciate you reading and commenting. Thanks! -Glen
