five birds on a fence sing like an orchestra
happy bird song with instrumental overtones
each bird thrill sings solo blending melodies

birds in a row a colourful feathered quartet
if these birds played instead small instruments
which instruments would each song bird play?

first blue bird leads with raised trumpet
yellow belly black head plays his oboe
grey bird plays thrills with a silver flute
pink bird with jacket sleeves plays violin

cream yellow bird from watchful end conducts
five little birds each on their own fence picket
listen follow conductor play bird merry tunes
magical imagination colours songbird scenes
