Black Holes Poem by Daya Nandan

Black Holes

Rating: 5.0

A Doughnut shaped shroud of cold dust that hides within it such power,
A huge disc of cosmic debris spinning at a million of miles an hour,
It feeds constantly on light years of gas, dust and shattered stars,
The ultimate destructive forces that lies awake even in the galaxy of ours,

Born from the death massive star that ran out of hydrogen gas,
When the core of the star became unstable and condenses its own mass,
First a powerful supernova then gravity condenses mass to a singularity,
A super massive black hole is born, ultimate destruction powered by gravity,

A schwartz child radius is achieved, a measurement called plank length,
Soon begins the pulling of stars and planets with gravity's insane strength,
A super massive black hole with up to 2 billion times the mass of our sun,
The galaxy's ultimate tool of destruction that can reduce everything to none,

At the center of it a perfectly dark sphere where no light can escape,
That can even bend the light of distant stars, a destroyer in a spherical shape,
It spins so fast that planets spinning to the event horizon heats up intensely,
Their fiction gives the black hole its glowing disc that burns immensely,

Over 10 million degrees Celsius of heated objects that produce a great light,
As it spins and devours in its acceleration disc and produces something bright,
Luminous jets energy spread hundred of thousands of light years across space,
The brightest light of the cosmos called quasars blasted with power and grace,

A 100 times more energy than 300 billion stars in the milky way combined,
Even 3 billion light years away these powerful x-rays of light are till clearly defined,
Super massive black holes are dangerous in many ways but they are good too,
For their great mass allows objects outside its pull to have orbits so true,
