Boastfulness Poem by Dr Dillip K Swain

Boastfulness

Rating: 5.0

A boastful flower
says to a bud,
see I am complete
but there is no guarantee
that you will be complete.

Little bud felt
very unhappy and
kept quiet.

The flower
teased the bud:
you may not reach
my stage of completeness.

The little bud
replied:
I have plenty of scopes
to grow, don't be so proud,
I may be bigger than you
when my time comes!

Moreover,
once you were
a bud!

The possibility of growth
is there with me
but not with you as
you can't grow anymore...
