Bonfire Poem by Pallab Chaudhury

Bonfire

Rating: 5.0

As being keen in fireworks
Keeping busy your good-self
Pushing the dry leaves-n-branches,
Equating fuel and heat with times...

Got your hand and leg warmed-up already?

Its the skin through which heat transfer
Is possible from interior to the outer field...
As the eye and face warms up
It makes bonfire on
the epithelium...

A human ring formed, encircling the fire
By degrees; freezing words being animated
Sparklingly rode up with wings
so as to save
this insect-like life...

Oh! Fire angel! Before to fire, melt
All the inner ice-slabs!

Bonfire… it is Bogi in Tamilnad today, a day of bonfires, part of the many days of Pongal celebrations! Nice
