Boo Hoo Leo Poem by Judith Driscoll Bryan

Boo Hoo Leo

Rating: 5.0

Famed as a gigolo and...'King of Tease'
Was Lover Boy Leo, of scant integrity.
Guilty as charged of Grand Larceny!
Now, a k a....Inmate Number 15673.

Narrator - Piteous Claire Bell...

A silver tongued fox with eyes of blue.
A Mountain of a Man, (any girl would pursue.)
A giant among men! A living Hercules!
Said he loved me...on bended knees.

Irresistible, was he....and Oh! So cute!
Impeccably dressed in an Armani Suit.
Pearly veneers gave his smile..'A Life! '
Paid for with loot...stolen from his ex-wife.

Tattoos that decorated his muscular arms
UP'd his charisma and elevated his charms.
I was crushed to learn...he had them etched
In Prison...where his nick-name was 'Stretch! '

Did I know he was a WOLF...'stead of a sheep?
No time for thought! ...I just leaped
Into his arms and gave him my house keys.
No greater fool exists...than ME!

Gone were my furniture and trinkets of gold.
To Corner Pawn Shops, these items he sold.
Twiddling10 sticky fingers, now locked in a cell.
The judge gave his verdict. I bid him 'Farewell'

I miss him some, though not very much.
Got everything back, ' cept my TV and couch.
With material things, I could easily part.
The worst thing he did? He stole my Heart! (boo hoo)

Leo, you swine! More HOG than a dog!
Left me nothing...not even a log
To sit on while I contemplate...
Breaking into the Slammer, to seal your fate.

Moral? ......Best to do a Criminal Search on all new Objects of Desire!
