Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine

Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine

Strolling through Orlando's Winter Park
Shopping at soda pop and candy store
Buying Miles Davis poster and more
In safe haven from neighbourly park

Ran into Andrew from Bosphorous
‘bout adventures that have left me clueless
He informed me about their happy hour
Decided to check out their craft beer

Mariana welcomes this old soul
Who's lost in the garden of rock and roll
Her friendly demeanour and smile
Have made this Winter Park trip worthwhile

Jean and Elma make America great
Welcoming tourists to such friendly gate
We are all so neighbourly
In God's land so heavenly

Is this part of an Orlando series? Richard, this is absolutely brilliant and among your very finest verse. It makes me thin 'what if....', what if Norman Rockwell had hosted Prairie Home Companion? He would have demanded verse like this.

Yes, M.J., this is part of that series. Stay tuned for more to come, including ones on Kerouac's homes. I'm a big fan of Rockwell's, so you honour me with such high praise! THX so very much!
