Boundaries...Made Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Boundaries...Made

Within those boundaries made,
More are created to abuse and enslave.
Endorsed by the very ones,
Believing themselves protected.
With approval given that this be done.

Boundaries permit restrictions.
And an acknowledgement of ignorance.
For a price to pay to isolate.
Like cattle to control.
To ensure they remain and stay that way.
Yet...
For a price that is ultimately paid,
In which the advocating of doing it...
Seldom returns an empathy to get.
When shown to make known,
Such ignorance historically implemented...
To repeatedly defeat.
Is a self infliction,
Diminishing the flourishing of one's existence.
Done to choose as a choice not to listen.
With belief to rule,
Over devastation has benefits to manifest.
Although history has yet to prove,
An ignorance kept...
Sustains to maintain effective progress.

"They seemed to have been,
An advanced civilization.
I wonder who began what to make this happen? "

-Its the same story.
Every few thousand years,
Someone comes along...
Believing they've been annointed,
Emperor of the Universe.
Until...'Boom'! -

"Boom?
What's that? "

"Egos clashing.
Leaving ignorance to have humanity trashed."
