Breaking Apart Poem by Laquory Jones

Breaking Apart

Rating: 5.0

Verse 1
At night I tend to break apart
I could never tell you how it starts
I'm not sure how it began
Or where it ends
Sometimes all I could think about
Is what you mean to me
I'm not sure that you even know
These internal pieces I carry through
My rugged soul I just thought that
You would like to know where you
Stand and where the line is crossed

Chorus:
As the clouds continues to glide
And the stars aligns
Take a deep breath and feel my vibes
It's okay we have nothing but time
Hey, remember that time
When we would stay up all night
Thinking we could conquer all
Or wishing we could make it (yeah)
Just memories locked in vaults
So as the waters continues their
Flow I want you to always know
Where you stand
I know I tend to get emotional
But our bonds are symmetrical
Two minds identical
Fractions to decimals
You've always found that comical

Verse 2
Sometimes I reach for the stars
While gazing at passing cars
Drifters and Dreamers perhaps
Are what we've always been
Taking a moment is what I
Recommend from first light to the
Night's end even when the light
Begins to dim or wrinkles covers
Your fragile skin mother nature
With an uneasy blend
Not sure where life will take
You as you travel upon this weary
Road, but I want you to always know
That you should go where the rivers always
Tend to flow let me see your smile
In its natural glow (go ahead & let it show)

Chorus:
As the clouds continues to glide
And the stars aligns
Take a deep breath and feel my vibes
It's okay we have nothing but time
Hey, remember that time
When we would stay up all night
Thinking we could conquer all
Or wishing we could make it (yeah)
Just memories locked in vaults
As the waters continues their
Flow I want you to always know
Where you stand
I know I tend to get emotional
But our bonds are symmetrical
Two minds identical
Fractions to decimals
You've always found that comical

Verse 3
At night I tend to break apart
As I find out that life's not always symmetrical
Sometimes it can be asymmetrical &
Intricate with forks impeding your scenic routes
Problems can become quite identical
As I break into a million pieces
While straightening out their creases
But I know deep down in my heart of hearts
Like life I'm just an work of art
So at night when you feel you're breaking apart
Or your vehicle not jumping to start
Think of me and take in a deep breath
Read this poem over and over again
Go ahead and start it up again
And just know you'll always find your way
Home that much I always know
