Brexit - Free Atlast! Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

In the walkways of time and hope
in the hallways of truth and reality
every country decides it's own future course of action
as any nation that is born free
will never want to lose its freedom;
who ever will want to hold itself to the reins and chains of others
when their history books consist of historical battles
they fought for victory and conquests?
In the depths of their minds they know
preservation and conservation has it's own prize
as tomorrows must permit their generations to walk in gratitude
that independence and glory is their pride and treasure;
and though today varied may be those fears
none can defy, none can negate the changing colours of a rainbow
so can a nation find its way to the harbours of solidarity and success.
Crucial was freedom for their economic development
migration had doubled their strength of population,
jobs and prospects had over-stepped the toes of each other
this became that moment to regain control and power
over their own future, for their own stability.
Their exports can now help them replenish their economy
those strict regulation policies which they had to follow can dwindle;
with a free market they can have a choice for better tomorrows.
O' great nation who has returned the freedom to other nations
they had conquered,
finally, you have now chosen to free yourself from a bondage
so that your children wake up at every dawn
and inhale the air of freedom and independence.
