Broken Goodbye Poem by zion anisius

Broken Goodbye

Rating: 4.9

That day you left me was unpredicted, while I was waiting to hear from you, your silence became the answer to all questions.

You left me with the dust of memories, the tune of songs you played me to the jokes you said to make me laugh.

The time may have passed, the words may have been said, but I will walk away with you in my heart hoping that one day we will meet again, not to fall in love again, but not to have a broken goodbye.

Realizing how easy it was for you to forget me, the harder it is for me to forget you.

With no communication in between, the silence took its place of refuge, yet my heart was not at rest for your broken goodbye left pieces on the way back to you

Now here I am questioning whether to follow those pieces and come to you or to collect them and walk away?

Beautiful rendition of words from inner recesses of the heart. The whimsical and temperamental nature of love are aptly captured in the poem. Lovely work of art. Thanks for sharing Ana.

One of the best poems I've read here. Lenient and salient lines. It's a sad but persuasive piece. Do more great poems, dear poet. 10+++

The day left to you was unpredictable. Still this scribbled mind. Leaving life with dust of memories provokes thought. Heart breaks without love and without communication. Broken heart expresses sadness. An amazing poem is shared here is brilliant.10
