Buddhist Temple Of The Broken Hill Temple Poem by Luo Zhihai

Buddhist Temple Of The Broken Hill Temple

★ Buddhist Temple of the Broken Hill Temple

☆ Poetry by Chang Jian (708-765? , Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

Get into the old temple in the early morning
Early sun shines towering trees
Sinuate pathway winding to the place in peace
Buddhist temple in the flowers and wood deep
Beautiful hill view can joy the bird life
Pond reflection can cleanse the human mind
All the sounds of the world disappear
But only can hear a large bell here

注:破山寺,即兴福寺,今江苏省常熟市北。
Note: The Broken Hill Temple, now is the Xingfu Temple, in Changshu city, Jiangsu province.

★ 破山寺后禅院

☆ 常建 诗

清晨入古寺
初日照高林
曲径通幽处
禅房花木深
山光悦鸟性
潭影空人心
万籁此俱寂
惟闻钟磬音
