Bullying Poem by Dustin Smith

Bullying

Rating: 5.0

Whether it be with words or a simple stare,
One should not cause pain another cannot bear.
If it's someone's happiness you find unfair,
Their life to yours you should not compare.
Heading comments about your clothes or hair,
They would like you to think that no one cares.

Maybe they just envy your happy life,
So they use words that cut deep like a knife.
They make you feel like you've never mattered,
The kids that you love has been shattered.
No matter who puts you through pain,
Put a smile on your face, emotions contained.

Depression could cause a life taken away,
And for that ones family, we grieve and pray.
It's essential to learn that words can hurt,
Why would you make someone feel like dirt?
Does putting someone else down make you feel better?
How would it feel to be listed on their suicide letter?

Instead of bullying, pick each other up,
You never know when one may erupt.
Care less about yourself, and more about others.
After all, we all deserve to be here with our mothers.
Instead of using words to cause slander and harm,
It never hurt to show gratitude and charm.

A fine and lofty rendition elegantly brought forth in verse with rhythmic splendour. A beautiful work of art. Thanks for sharing, Dustin.
