I hope to enjoy morning sun
Whilst drinking drops of fresh dew
Balancing snugly upon you,
Worry not, I won't be much burden
On your green tender leafy sheet,
Half my weight rests on wings, half on feet,
Let us both bathe in morning sun,
Spring's here and I'll be on my run.
For, life is far too brief
And there's a lot to do,
Friendship with all with due,
Love's my fondest belief,
And to my great relief,
I am sure yours too.
