By Tender Moonlight Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

By Tender Moonlight

Rating: 5.0

I felt my eyes begin to close,
There in my dream,
i picked a rose,
so delicately formed,
it's beauty held,
That sweet aroma,
I remember well.
That fragrant flower,
Reminded me of you,
twas then i walked through morning dew,
towards the bench where once you'd sit,
The midnight sky,
now finely lit,
By tender moonlight,
shining stars,
Why is heaven, oh so far?
