Bystander Poem by Linda Moore

Bystander

Rating: 4.5

Faces, yet faceless in the crowd, bystander
Hushed voices whisper, the loss of candor
On Lookers to catastrophe
Attitudes of apathy

Morality and Freedom fight
For each has the right
In silence and remiss
Many wrongs dismissed

In fear, unknown reprisal
For belief you are liable
Peaceful by nature, turn the other cheek
Unwilling to be passive, a voice to speak

Very accurately said Linda - apathy often stems from inner fears. Well penned.

Sorely needed commentary well written.A tribute to the age of ambivalence.

The message goes right into our hearts. Similar to my hopeless pines and man in the street.10 sathya narayana
