Can you see the wind?
What color is it's hair?
When the oak tree's branch it bends,
Is it dark or is it fair?
Can you see the wind?
Have you ever caught a glimpse?
When the leaves flying it sends,
It can be a devilish imp.
Have you ever seen the wind?
Or the features of his face?
Tell me is he a good friend?
And does he have blue eyes, to gaze?
The wind must have a kindly face.
Most of the time, as I've been told.
And if you gaze up, you can often trace,
His features as the clouds unfold.
Have you ever seen the wind?
I have and it beguiles.
When you hear him come and it begins,
And he blows and blows for miles.
