Candle In Darkness Poem by Paul Sebastian

Candle In Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Lost in life of darkness
Groping for directions
In life of meaningless
Seeking vague ambitions

Living my life's humdrum routine
Day after day is mere existence
Sunrise, sunset, my life passing
Wallowing, wasting in brokenness

You then walked in like a candle
Broke darkness into pieces
Dawn awakened, unbridled
Shining sun over my shoulders

Though you flicker in the wind
Yet hold out your light for me
To find my life's path and win
You inspire, making a hero of me

Friend for life keeps on shining
Your unflinching flame is strength
Beacon for those wandering
Giving new hope whenever you can

May God of Love always prosper you
As you are a blessing, I always knew
For the little things with great love you do
Friend of many, you always remained true
