Cannonball Practice (I'M Bedazzled) (Rev.) Poem by Callie Carroll

Cannonball Practice (I'M Bedazzled) (Rev.)

Rating: 5.0

Arms tucked, legs askew,
You practice until you get it right.
With each crack of your skin against water
comes satisfaction, then delight.
You are resplendent, (I know it's true) ,
but I am illuminated too.

Day finally ends with a towel cocoon-
a futile attempt to calm and soothe.
I know you are reluctant to go-
I'm reluctant for you to GROW!

I too would like to hang around this piece a little longer. I think I'll read it again, because I can so there! ---10
