Cardboard Cut Out Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Cardboard Cut Out

"I'd never fallen in love before."
I whispered.
"Never ever? " she replied back
with a smirk.
My head nodded
in assurance.
She took a pair of scissors
and cut the air
around me.
When I asked what that was for,
She tore off two pieces of tape
& posted me at the foot of her bed
against the wall and asked
How did it feel.
"How did it feel to fall? "
