Celestial Light Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Celestial Light

Whether it be beams of pure gold or obscured silver,
Glow or shade, to me it does not matter anymore.
The Celestial Light shall always endure and be there
Even in times when sparkles seem to be found no more.

Show me the way to the Spring of Life-Giving Waters,
For walking on desert sands under the scorching heat
Dried me to thirst and left me lying on burning curse.
I hear the Spring as it calls as You lead me to it.

Shine O shine! Reveal to me the flowers in the wild,
The woodland brook as tranquil and gently it rushes.
Color the woods for it amazes me like a child
To see the forest green as I walk along the bushes.

The Rose of Sharon that is so fair and beautiful,
O Celestial Light! To that flower let me be bound,
For as other petals fall and form as darkest wool
Yet this Flower remains and there perfection be found.

Hail the Celestial Light for in unknown galaxies
Extends its Light that forever would shine and blaze bright!
For from this darkened world and all of its enmities,
It leads the way to the Lily of the Valley white.
