Chasing The Lost Joy Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Chasing The Lost Joy

We once found magic in simple dreams,
Coins jingling, laughter flowing in streams.
A bicycle ride, friends all around,
Joy was easy, happiness profound.
Now we chase goals and fortunes grand,
In solitude, we struggle to understand.

The bus stop's quiet, our world has changed,
Luxury's touch feels distant and estranged.
Ice cream's delight, replaced by a brew,
Simple pleasures fade as we pursue.
We've grown so big, yet miss the days,
When life was light in so many ways.

Old games replay in our minds so clear,
Yet the thrill of youth seems distant and dear.
In echoes of past, we seek what was bright,
Searching for smiles that felt just right.
Why do we yearn for times gone by,
As we reach for stars, letting moments fly?
