Cherry Pickers Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Cherry Pickers

Cherry pickers high riding booms to pluck.
To get those tasty cherries.
In pretty bowls.

Cherry pickers high plucking with a
gentle touch.
To get those tasty cherries.
In pretty bowls.
Since life,
People want it said...
Is just a bowl of cherries.
To merrily skip through it.
But life,
To live it as it really is...
Has gotten many sick.
Living in the pits of it.
And life,
To live it as it really is...
Can be wicked.
With...
Or without the cherries.
